The Soka Factory is established.

The Osaka Business Office opens in Nishi-ku, Osaka.

The Soka Plastic Factory is established. The manufacturing of leather and tarpaulin begins.

Headquarters relocates to a new building in Minowa, Taito-ku, Tokyo,(present address).

The company develops a backing technology, launches sales of car mats [COUMAT], and begins manufacturing interior products such as artificial lawns and carpets.

Shiga Tarpaulin Factory is established.

The Osaka Business Office is promoted to become the Osaka Branch in Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka.

High-frequency welder sewing technology is developed for cotton canvas. Hiraoka U-Tape released. The architecture curing mesh sheet series "TARPOSCREEN" is released.

A new company laboratory building opens.

Soka Plastic Factory is consolidated as the Soka Secondary Factory.

A second factory wing is established at the Shiga Tarpaulin Factory.

Soka Distribution Center is established.

Flat canvas "ULTRAMAX" series is released.

The Tokyo Factory is consolidated as the Soka Waterproof Factory.

A local sales subsidiary is established in Australia.
The Osaka Branch moves to Chuo-ku, Osaka.
Gas Co-generation introduced and installed in the Soka business establishment.

Yoshiji Hiraoka assumes position as Chairman and Executive Director. Yoshiaki Hiraoka becomes the President and Representative Director.

The sales subsidiary in Beijing, China closes. The sales subsidiary, HIRAOKA INTERNATIONAL TRADING (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD., is established in Shanghai.
